Today we started a new chapter in the life of the Schroeder Household. Josh started a new job today. We are so excited about this opportunity! For a little over two years Josh has worked at my dad's company which does oil and gas properties. It was a great way to get us back home and help us get settled into our lives here. But we have been on the lookout periodically for something that would get him back to more engineering work. Well the job presented itself and we started praying. God gave us the direction and we moved forward with it.
There will be a few adjustments of course...this is a CHANGE after all. The job is 45 minutes away which means we have a commute now. But the ironic thing is when we lived in Houston his office was six miles away and it took longer to get home! The nice part about his old job was that he was around whenever we needed him or really even just wanted to have him home. So mom will become the official car chauffeur and we will go back to having daddy gone from 7am-6pm.
Even with the fact that he will be gone more this seems like such a God thing. We are excited and feel like this is where God wants to use Josh. I love that feeling!! We are blessed to have a daddy that cares for us and leads this family with a heart for God. We are so proud of him!

ReplyDeleteHis first day went really well. He started with HR stuff but I think they are going to let him just jump right in. He likes his boss and the other people from the different departments that they work with.
